Getting Android HOW-TO: Quick (re)Boot Your Phone via Physical Keyboard (root required)

There are countless benefits to rooting your Android device. After some users root their phones, they may wonder what they should do next. This is the one feature for me that is an absolute must on every rooted Android device I own that has a physical keyboard. If you already fulfill the requirements, follow me...

Install the app "Quick Boot", go to Settings > Applications > Quick Launch. Tap on any letter of the alphabet that you would like to have assigned to launching the Quick Boot app (I chose the letter "R" because it's easy to associate that with the word 'reboot').

Now, whenever you have the urge to do a quick reboot on your device, hold the Android search key (it's the physical key that looks like a Magnifying Glass) and tap the letter that you assigned earlier. Quick Boot will open. I then tap "reboot" and the phone reboots. The first time that you use this app, it will ask you to "Allow Superuser Access": Select "allow"..or "yes", etc; You only have to do this once.
